free versing

First off i like to say that i like how she described free verse, being a type of poetry that arose out of the desire for release from all restraints. How ever found out that it is not completely free as i thought prior. although it may be free from metrical designs, it is not free from at least some aspect of a design. as i read about free verse i started to relate it to a song more than anything else. It is set up in terms of sounds and lines under the premise. By the end of the poem the premise is addressed, much like the characteristics of a song in my opinion. To this point in the book i genuinely started to prefer free verse poetry over any other type solely because it free, and i admire a person to not be constrained when writing their feeling on paper. After all, poetry is emotion in the word form. I enjoyed her evaluation on shorter poetry; how she thinks that a short poem must take such intense focus that it cannot last for but a short period. Then we go onto enjambments, and how crappy they are, yet still setting a unique tone to the poem. She goes to include the exception of The Red Wheelbarrow. she explains that the enjambments keep us alert in such a short poem.i find that she finishes the section with much enthusiasm which gives me hope that the knows what she talking about.
